Rainy days
make me feel dreamy and cozy. My mind wanders through time remembering and imagining all the possibilities. I imagine the recent visitor at the window was doing the same.
Rubber Ducky is watching the rain and dreaming of bath time fun. Placed on the windows ledge, a quiet stillness is juxtaposed against the symphony of color and light. It’s fall when rain is plenty and the colors are rich. Colors fall down the long drops like honey to a tea cup.
This painting was challenging. I had not painted water before. So many tiny color changes it was hard not to get lost. A great sense of accomplishment with this piece.
Hanging Your Art
This painting comes with a white “floater frame” which gives the illusion of the panel floating inside the frame. I’ve painted the sides an off white (barely off white). You can hang the painting without a frame, but I recommend keeping it to protect it.
